Thirty years of keeping Wichita businesses running

CYA Help is Bodie Engel: founder of a Wichita managed-services company, now focused on one question — what should a small business actually do with AI?

I founded and ran CYA Companies, a Wichita IT provider, for years before selling it. Before that and since, I have spent three decades in networking, managed services, and business phone systems — I still run GranSun, a cloud phone platform sold through IT providers across the country.

That background matters for AI work in a way it doesn't for most consultants. I know what a fifteen-person insurance agency's Tuesday looks like. I know which staff will quietly stop using a tool if it adds a step. I know how customer data leaks out of a small office, because I spent years plugging those holes.

AI consulting is the same job with a new toolbox: sit with the people doing the work, find the friction, fix it with something that will still be running in a year, and make sure the owner sleeps at night.

How I work

In person first

I come to your office. Workflows show up in the room in ways they never do on a call.

Your data stays yours

Business-tier tools only, training opt-outs confirmed, and a signed policy before anything is switched on.

Outcomes, not products

I don't resell AI software. If the best answer is a feature you already pay for, that's the answer.
